J. Ladd Greeno
Chairman of the Board
Mr. Greeno has served as chairman of the board of Quick-Med Technologies since August 2011. He has been Chief Executive Officer and a board member of Quick-Med Technologies since 2007. Previously, Mr. Greeno was president and CEO of Agion Technologies, a leading provider of ionic silver antimicrobials. Before joining Agion, Mr. Greeno held a number of senior management positions at the global management and technology consulting firm, Arthur D. Little, Inc. (ADL), including COO and senior vice president in charge of the firm’s North American management consulting business. Mr. Greeno received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.B.A. from the University of Oklahoma.
George E. Friel
Director
Major General Friel (Ret.) has served as director from July 2000. MG. Friel has been a self-employed consultant to various organizations in the defense industry since September 1998. From 1960 to 1998, MG. Friel served in the U.S. Army. Between 1992 and 1998, he was the commanding general of the U.S. Army Chemical and Biological Defense Command, at the Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland; and deputy chief of staff for the Chemical and Biological Matters of the Army Material Command in Virginia. MG. Friel was also responsible for managing a $600 million annual budget for the Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Defense Command for six years and directed over 1,100 scientists and engineers. MG. Friel has served as chairman of the board of the Nuclear Biological, and Chemical Defense Enterprise at the Edgewood Arsenal in Maryland and the U.S. Army Material Command, Acquisition and Procurement Enterprise. MG. Friel earned an M.B.A. from Northwest Missouri State University and a B.S. from the University of Nebraska. He is a graduate from the U.S. Army Chemical School, The Army Command and General Staff College, and The Industrial College of the Armed Forces. He was also a director for Engineer Support Systems, Inc. from September 1998 until January 2006.
Gerald M. Olderman, Ph.D.
Director
Dr. Olderman has served as Vice President of Research and Development at Quick-Med Technologies since 1997. He has over 35 years of health care industry experience, including 31 years managing product development teams and 25 years heading research and development for major product divisions at three Fortune 500 companies. Previously, Dr. Olderman was vice president of research & development for Surgikos, Inc., a Johnson & Johnson Company; and vice president of international & domestic development for Pharmaseal, a division of Baxter Healthcare Corporation. Dr. Olderman received a B.S. in Chemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute; and holds an M.S. in Physical Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Seton Hall University.
Gregory S. Schultz, Ph.D.
Director
Dr. Schultz has served as a Board member and Scientific Advisor since July 2000. From 1999 through 2001, Dr. Schultz served as President of the Wound Healing Society, and has consulted 12 major biotechnology companies. In 1989, he was appointed Professor of Obstetrics/Gynecology and Director of the Institute for Wound Research at the College of Medicine at the University of Florida at Gainesville, Florida. He has published over 200 research articles and book chapters that have been cited over 4,000 times. Dr. Schultz’s work on the treatment of burns with growth factors has been funded by major grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the U.S. Army. Dr. Schultz earned a doctorate in biochemistry from Oklahoma State University and postdoctoral fellowship in cell biology at Yale University.
