Mexico grants Quick-Med Technologies, Inc. Notice of Allowance for its NIMBUSŪ Technology

Gainesville, Florida - August 2, 2007 - Quick-Med Technologies, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: QMDT) ("Quick-Med Technologies" or the "Company") announced today a patent was allowed by the Mexican Patent Office, Instituto Mexicano de la Propiedad Industrial, to protect the Company's intellectual property involving its NIMBUSŪ technology.

The patent titled "Intrinsically Bactericidal Absorbent Dressing and Method of Fabrication", has claims that cover the composition of permanently bonded antimicrobial absorbent materials and the process for producing them. Similar patents have now been allowed in the U.S., China, Australia, Russia, and Indonesia.

"We are pleased that the patents underlying our intellectual property continue to issue globally, supporting our efforts to expand into promising international markets," said David S. Lerner, President of Quick-Med Technologies. "This allowance is particularly significant because it affords protection to our IP in a venue where the opportunity to produce medical devices can be accomplished at a very low cost." added Mr. Lerner.

Additional information regarding Quick-Med Technologies' Intellectual portfolio can be found in the Company's Form 10-KSB filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

About NIMBUST
The Company's patented technology, NIMBUSŪ, employs a family of advanced antimicrobial polymers that destroy bacteria at the cellular level, thereby eliminating the risk of developing drug resistance. Unlike any other microbicide on the market today, the NIMBUS technology works by creating a permanent bond with a multitude of substrates (without leaching) and is less than 10% the cost of silver-based antimicrobials. NIMBUS is highly effective, including against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus ("MRSA") and vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus ("VRE"), two of the most significant antibiotic-resistant organisms responsible for hospital infections.
